AnySoldier.com helps American Troops in all branches of the military, both active duty and reservists, and has become one of the leading efforts in making sure the men and women who have been deployed are cared for, via letters and packages from home. Back in 2003 when Marty and Sue Horn said goodbye to their son, Sergeant Brian Horn, an Army Infantry Soldier with the 173rd Airborne Brigade, they had no idea that in addition to their own son, they would later be heading up an organization that supports thousands of military personnel “AnySoldier.com started as a simple family effort to help our son explains Marty Horn, a 20-year Army veteran. The organization grew through a network of family and friends and has received over 4.5 million visitors. Brian Horn says “I couldn’t be any more proud to have been a part of such an honorable organization as AnySoldier.com. To have been able to distribute the mail personally as a contact to soldiers who get next to no mail at all and for that brief moment see the look of hope in their faces of good things to come. The hope that somebody out there does care. That somebody does in fact love them as they deservingly should be loved. The hope that some day their involvement in the fight on terror was to preserve those that believed in them so much through and through, until their fight was done. We fight so that maybe, just maybe your grandchildren won’t have to.
We salute the caring people at www.Any Solider.com for all they do.
Ever want to buy a solider a cup of coffee and thank them for their service to our country? Well here’s a great way to do that!
Since 2009, “Cup Of Joe For A Joe” has been a wonderful way for Americans everywhere to say thanks to our Troops and let them know they’re appreciated through the simple act of buying a cup of freshly brewed coffee, writing a personal letter of encouragement to go with it and having both delivered into the hands of a Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine or Coast Guardsman who is serving far from home.
Green Beans Coffee Company owns and operates 70+ cafes in North America and at military bases (including forward operating bases in Afghanistan and Iraq where extreme danger is ever present)
The “Cup Of Joe letters” you send from home are delivered to our troops by email and the freshly brewed cups of coffee are served at Green Beans Coffee cafes on the bases where they’re deployed.
When the troops receive your Cup of Joe and letter from home, Green Beans Coffee Company gives them a way to write back, say thanks and let you know how they’re doing.
We salute the GREEN BEANS COFFEE COMPANY and their “Cup Of Joe For A Joe” program find out more on their website https://www.greenbeanscoffee.com/coj/
The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund is a non-profit organization that was founded by Rebecca Campbell after her son enlisted in the U.S. Army and served with the 82nd Airborne and was deployed to Baghdad.
Later that year with the help of family and friends Rebecca decided to organize a fundraiser to help children affected by the loss of a parent.
She saw how when a loss occurs in a family the financial hardships placed on them are very difficult to deal with. Their lives are devastated and forever changed.
The objectives of the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund are to help U.S. Military children and spouses of a fallen soldier with College grants as well as provide financial assistance to those families in need of help with housing, utilities, food and clothing.
They honor the fallen by providing a “gift” to their families as a token of our appreciation. They say “We can never replace the love and warmth that is forever gone, but with your help we can all honor our fallen heroes”.
This week we salute The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund. The price of freedom is high….let’s never forget those who paid that price for us with their lives. (http://www.cfsrf.org/)
