When Epic recording artist and #1 hit songwriter Don King heard Rich’s guitar playing and songwriting and he encouraged him to move to Nashville. While intending to pursue a career as a recording artist Rich landed “On Air” at legendary WSM radio where he wound up broadcasting daily for 15 years! As an emcee he’s hosted live events for up to 20,000 people and is the requested announcer of the Nashville Songwriter’s Association International (NSAI) annual Hall of Fame Inductions.

After the 9/11 tragedy, Rich tuned in to the world of Christian Music. He co-created, writes and hosts the Power Source Country “Songs Of Faith, Family And Country” a weekly Country music radio show syndicated nationwide! In addition Rich hosts many radio specials for Impact Radio Networks. The hour long George Strait interview Rich hosted was broadcast on nearly 350 stations across the USA. The Christian Country Music Association presented Rich their “Above and Beyond Award” in 2003 and a special leadership award in 2004. He is the current (5 time) Inspirational Country Music “Radio Personality Of The Year” honored at the nationally broadcast awards show. He’s also a three time nominee and a two time winner of “Best Show” at the “March Of Dimes Achievement In Radio Air Awards.”

You can hear Rich’s electric guitar playing featured on the Power Source Country theme song. He’s played “In The Round” at Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Café, onstage at California’s popular Morro Bay Harbor Festival, at the Gibson Guitar Showcase “Blue’s Night, and at many Nashville area venues alongside both nationally known and local musicians.

Jason Higgins grew up in Chattanooga, TN. His heart was in sports; however he spent much of his Childhood on a bus with his father’s Gospel group. This fostered a love for music from an early age. They embarked on a ten year journey that took them around the country. Jason served almost 10 years as an active duty member of the United States Air Force. It is there where his leadership skills were honed. In 2001, Jason separated from the Air Force and found himself in Nashville, TN. In his absence, his parents had launched the Christian Country Music Association and Power Source Music Inc. Gene & Brenda Higgins started these organizations and invited Jason to take the helm. With his vast experience, working on so many different types of programs, Tim has the ability to carefully manage projects, work with the artist/ talent, and make sure that all expectations are exceeded.

Tim began his musical adventures playing piano in high school. His first band, Heartland, went on to have a #1 song “I Loved Her First.” He also worked under legendary Allman Brothers producer Johnny Sandlin and after moving to Nashville, played keyboards with numerous artists including BMI songwriter of the year Bobby Pinson. After earning his Bachelors Degree in Music Business at Middle Tennessee State University, he mastered his radio production skills under music industry veterans Ron Huntsman and Bob Guerra.

Tim’s fascination with music recording and production soon expanded into his own company, Tim Scott Productions. “Having my own company allows me to take on any kind of musical project. AnySoldier.com helps American Troops in all branches of the military, both active duty and reservists, and has become one of the leading efforts in making sure the men and women who have been deployed are cared for, via letters and packages from home. Back in 2003 when Marty and Sue Horn said goodbye to their son, Sergeant Brian Horn, an Army Infantry Soldier with the 173rd Airborne Brigade, they had no idea that in addition to their own son, they would later be heading up an organization that supports thousands of military personnel “AnySoldier.com started as a simple family effort to help our son explains Marty Horn, a 20-year Army veteran. The organization grew through a network of family and friends and has received over 4.5 million visitors. Brian Horn says “I couldn’t be any more proud to have been a part of such an honorable organization as AnySoldier.com. To have been able to distribute the mail personally as a contact to soldiers who get next to no mail at all and for that brief moment see the look of hope in their faces of good things to come. The hope that somebody out there does care. That somebody does in fact love them as they deservingly should be loved. The hope that some day their involvement in the fight on terror was to preserve those that believed in them so much through and through, until their fight was done. We fight so that maybe, just maybe your grandchildren won’t have to.
We salute the caring people at www.Any Solider.com for all they do.

Ever want to buy a solider a cup of coffee and thank them for their service to our country? Well here’s a great way to do that!

Since 2009, “Cup Of Joe For A Joe” has been a wonderful way for Americans everywhere to say thanks to our Troops and let them know they’re appreciated through the simple act of buying a cup of freshly brewed coffee, writing a personal letter of encouragement to go with it and having both delivered into the hands of a Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine or Coast Guardsman who is serving far from home.

Green Beans Coffee Company owns and operates 70+ cafes in North America and at military bases (including forward operating bases in Afghanistan and Iraq where extreme danger is ever present)

The “Cup Of Joe letters” you send from home are delivered to our troops by email and the freshly brewed cups of coffee are served at Green Beans Coffee cafes on the bases where they’re deployed.

When the troops receive your Cup of Joe and letter from home, Green Beans Coffee Company gives them a way to write back, say thanks and let you know how they’re doing.

We salute the GREEN BEANS COFFEE COMPANY and their “Cup Of Joe For A Joe” program find out more on their website https://www.greenbeanscoffee.com/coj/

The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund is a non-profit organization that was founded by Rebecca Campbell after her son enlisted in the U.S. Army and served with the 82nd Airborne and was deployed to Baghdad.

Later that year with the help of family and friends Rebecca decided to organize a fundraiser to help children affected by the loss of a parent.

She saw how when a loss occurs in a family the financial hardships placed on them are very difficult to deal with. Their lives are devastated and forever changed.

The objectives of the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund are to help U.S. Military children and spouses of a fallen soldier with College grants as well as provide financial assistance to those families in need of help with housing, utilities, food and clothing.

They honor the fallen by providing a “gift” to their families as a token of our appreciation. They say “We can never replace the love and warmth that is forever gone, but with your help we can all honor our fallen heroes”.

This week we salute The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund. The price of freedom is high….let’s never forget those who paid that price for us with their lives. (http://www.cfsrf.org/)

Operation Comfort was started by Janis Roznawski, an American Airlines flight attendant who was part of a team transporting soldiers to and from the Middle East. Janis says, “having had the great experience of being in the presence of some of the bravest men and women I have ever met, makes me realize that we can never do enough for them. I believe that our military men and women are truly our nation’s national treasure. Now that they are wounded we must do what we can for them.”

Their Focus is to provide rehabilitative, therapeutic programs for them while they are recovering at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Wounded service members from all over the USA recover there. Their services to our veterans include amputee sports, a program where they can work on cars, woodworking, outings and family financial assistance. They want our veterans to see in tangible ways that we appreciate their sacrifices and we want to help them recover as quickly and completely as possible.

This week we are proud to salute the good people at “Operation Comfort” You can find out more about them or make a donation at http://operationcomfort.org/home/
